Following is a summary of our standard fall class offerings. Winter/Spring 2024 classes begin January 8th.
ABSA operates out of Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. All classes are held there, and registration is through their website. A direct link to the classes and their descriptions are listed below. All classes Pre-Ballet 3 and up are taught according to the RAD syllabus as described on our Syllabus and Examinations page. We also produce a full-length ballet at the end of each season that all students are welcome to participate in.
Pre-Ballet Classes Levels 1 through 4 are offered for beginning dancers age 3 to 7 years old.
Our Intro to RAD class is an open beginning class for ages 8-11 who are interested in joining ABSA, and who will be placed in our regular class schedule the following year.
Classical Ballet Classes Levels 1 through 7 are offered for dancers age 7 and up.
Vocational classes are offered for ages 11 and up for the Intermediate to Advanced dancer. Pointe classes are offered as an additional class for dancers of Classical and Vocational levels who have the necessary ballet experience and strength to dance on pointe as determined by ABSA staff.
Please contact us before registering your child for any classes above the Pre-Ballet level, as our staff will assess proper class placement. All class sessions listed under each level are required unless otherwise specified.
