Fall Season begins early September. Schedules will be live in July.

ABSA operates out of Maryland Hall. All classes are held there, and registration is through their website; Registration links and full class descriptions are available by clicking on the class time. Studio Closure dates are at the bottom of this page.
Uniforms can be purchased at Dance Supplies, Etc In Severna Park
All classes Pre-Ballet 3 and up are taught according to the RAD syllabus as described on our Syllabus and Examinations page.
Classical Ballet 4 and up are invited to participate in our Mini Nutcracker in December.
ALL are welcome to participate in our full-length ballet in May.
Please contact us before registering your child for any classes for students 6 years old and up, as placement is required by our staff


Our Pre-Ballet 1 and 2 levels are both considered “my first class”. Pre-Ballet 3 and Pre-Ballet 4 begin syllabus and are the RAD Pre-Primary and Primary levels.

Pre-Ballet 1: Ages 3-4

Pre-Ballet 2: Ages 4-5

Pre-Ballet 3: Ages 5-6

Pre-Ballet 4: Ages 6-7


Our Classical Ballet levels align with the RAD Grade levels, and include character dance. Two classes per week within each level required.

Classical Ballet 1: Ages 7-8

Classical Ballet 2: Ages 8-9

Classical Ballet 3: Ages 9-10

Classical Ballet 4: Ages 10+

Classical Ballet 5: Ages 11+


Our Classical Ballet levels align with the RAD Grade levels, and include character dance. Multiple classes per week are required; students must register for all sessions listed under each level.

Intermediate Foundation (Vocational)*: Ages 12+

Intermediate (Vocational)*: Ages 13+

Advanced Foundation (by invitation only)*: Ages 14+

*Pointe is integrated into longer class sessions for those who have the necessary ballet experience and strength to dance on pointe as determined by ABSA staff, and who pass our pointe tests.
